Public artist and Executive Director of MOCAH, Reginald Adams, worked with approximately 25 students from Edison Middle School to create a brilliantly colored handmade ceramic tile mosaic mural. The students' designs depicted fourteen different academic subjects and extracurricular activities found in the school's general curriculum  including: Art, Math, English, Science, Technology, Photography, Reading, Horticulture, Sculpture, Dance, Music, Sports and History. Their designs are collages of symbols, objects and words related to their corresponding subject.  Each design was rendered using ceramic tiles and then incorporated into (14) 3'x 7' doorways that line the main entrance hallway of the school. Special thanks to Principal Dan DeLeon for allowing us to work with his campus and Ms. Carolyn Teas for making this project happen through the 21st Century Community Learning Program and Greater Houston Inner City Games, Inc.
