Students from Edison worked with public artist, Reginald Adams, to produce a handmade tile ceramic counter top for the school's attendance office. The participating students conceived the idea of creating an image that would be inviting to students and visitors as they enter the school's main entrance.

The image of the mosaic mural reflects a panaramic view of students waving, smiling and greeting their fellow classmates as they enter the school. Twelve of the actual participants involved in the mural project included portraits of themselves in the final mural design.
