Artist, Israel Barbosa, worked with approximately 20 students from Garcia Elementary School to create brightly colored handmade ceramic tiles. The student's tiles depict native birds, plants, animals and insects commonly found in the school's nature center and garden. Their tiles were then incorporated into the table tops and benches of the park using the ancient technique of mosaics. Special thanks to Principal Castro for allowing us to work with her campus.
